Oh, what a great picture of the Mississippi, Brandon... and that is one of the great folkloric rivers of the U.S. Maybe you would be interested in doing a Mississippi-based project for this class! Nobody has ever done that before! I actually have a whole book of Mississippi River folklore: "Treasury Of Mississippi River Folklore" by B. A. Botkin (super-cheap used copies at ABE Books) ... that would make such a cool project for this class! :-)
